These clubs have seen normal use (usually several seasons) but are in better than average shape for that particular model club. They may have some cosmetic imperfections but will look better than the average club in most players’ bags.
Good Condition - What It Means...

Left with the beautiful patina color, the set has the much sought after Ping factory fitted ZZ-LITE stiff flex steel shafts. Note: Shaft bands are fully intact. HISTORY: These clubs have been used very little, t hey look great with only minor wear (small scratches etc) showing. This is one of the best feeling and playing Ping Eye 2 sets you can own. The technology behind these clubs combined a perfect unmatched blend of 'Somewhat Compact Size' by today's club standards, a very 'Forgiving Perimeter Weighted Design', ultra 'Soft Copper Feel', and astounding 'Ball Stopping Ability' on the greens from the 'NON-CONFORMING SQUARE GROOVES'. Because the distance between these grooves is so close together, the actual groove itself is wider with sharp squared corners, allowing more space to absorb grass, sand and dirt-allowing the club face much better contact with the ball-thus creating far superior ball traction (More Spin!) over all other clubs-so much in fact that the USGA outlawed these in tournament play until they were later grandfathered in. Karsten and PING began manufacturing the NON CONFORMING SQUARE GROOVES IN 1985. In Nov 1989 thru March of 1990, following an epic court ruling in which these legendary square grooves were grandfathered in to be allowed to participate in USGA tournament play, Karsten agreed to transition to a conforming square groove in which the grooves were narrowed slightly and a radius (round edge) was added to the remarkable sharp edged illegal square grooves. That is what has made these clubs so highly sought after-their legendary ability to add so much more feel and control to your close game. The popularity of these clubs continues to grow and because they can now no longer be made due to environmental reasons, they are getting more and more difficult to find in this great shape If you are truly committed to improve your game, take the next step and get yourself a set of these while you still can. No other club has made an impact on the game of golf like these have. No manufacturer will ever be able to produce a club with these grooves again. Ping ceased production of beryllium copper models in 1999 due to environmental regulations. Arguably the most popular iron in the history of golf, the Eye2 iron was produced over a span of eight years. This perimeter weighted iron offered forgiveness on mishits and progressive offsets for enhanced trajectory from every iron in the set. First cast in beryllium copper in 1984 using the smaller Eye2 Lite molds, this iteration became an instant classic thanks to its distinctive look and feel. The heavier alloy not only provided a solid feel, but also grew darker with age, enhancing its appearance.
